Chip McNeill

With a masters degree in studio jazz composition from the University of Miami (FL), Chip McNeill is an active solo saxophonist, clinician, composer/arranger and pianist. Currently serving as Chairman of Jazz Studies at the University of Illinois, he previously directed the jazz programs at Florida International University and Virginia Tech University. In years past he was musical director and tenor sax player for Arturo Sandoval and Maynard Ferguson, and has recorded with Doc Severinsen, David Liebman, Maynard Ferguson, Duffy Jackson, Ira Sullivan, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Ted Shumate and Larry Willis. Today he tours with Doc Severinsen and the Tonight Show Band, as well as with Grammy award-winning vocalist Natalie Cole.
