Peter Blair has an extensive and varied background in music sales, education and performance. He holds a BA in Music Education from Carroll University and an MA in saxophone performance from the University of Wisconsin. He taught for twelve years at a variety of grade levels, including four years at Arrowhead High School and four years as the Jazz Ensemble Director at Carroll University. Blair is currently a staff arranger at Crucial Music, Wild Whirled Entertainment and Scorekeepers Music, as well as serving as an Instrumental Specialist at Hartland Music/White House of Music. Blair has been recognized by ASCAP (American Society of Composers and Publishers) with an ASCAPLUS award for the last ten years for his compositions for jazz ensemble and vocal jazz choir. His music has appeared in television shows including “Blindside”, “Las Vegas”, “CSI”, “The Agents of Shield” and “The Sopranos” and he recently had music featured in the Dreamworks movie “I Love You, Man” and the movie “The Imitation Game”. As a performer, Blair has worked with artists including Natalie Cole, Manhattan Transfer, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Aretha Franklin, the Temptations, Lionel Hampton, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and a number of Broadway touring companies.
