Description

This imaginative arrangement of the famous Shaker dance tune carries the melody into a new dimension by using a variety of modern chords and tempos in changing meters (4/4, 6/8, 3/4). A majestic ending with strong accents, dramatic molto ritard e crescendo, and fortissimo fermata brings it all to an especially satisfying conclusion. Duration ca. 3:55.
