How do I create a CD from the downloaded mp3 files? There are two types of audio CDs, standard CDs which contain cda or wav format files, and mp3 CDs which contain mp3 files. Older CD players can only play the standard CDs; most newer CD players can play standard CDs and mp3 CDs. Please check the specifications on your CD player. If your CD player can play an mp3 CD, then you can use your CD writing software to create an mp3 CD or a data CD that contains the mp3 files. If your CD player cannot play an mp3 audio CD, then you must convert the mp3 files into cda or wav format, so that the files can be used to create the audio CD. Many commercial CD writing applications (e.g., Nero on the PC, Roxio Toast on the Mac) provide this capability within their products. So, you simply have to tell the program to create an Audio CD, then select the mp3 files to be written to the CD. The CD writing application will automatically convert the mp3 file into the correct format for the audio CD. By searching the internet, you can also find many other applications which have the ability to convert an mp3 file into a wav file. |
