Hilton Kean Jones

Born: January 23, 1945

Hilton Jones has recently retired as Professor of Music at the University of South Florida School of Music (Tampa), where he taught music composition, computer applications in music, theory, and orchestration.

The recipient of numerous awards, grants and commissions, Jones' compositions are widely performed by both professional and amateur musicians. He is published by Kendor, Dabash Kephim, Concordia, Logia, SKQ, Hope, and WTM, and his music appears on the C. Alan, HoneyRock, Crest, ESM and Bacchanal Bay labels. Hilton's scores include soundtracks for videos and films by award-winning directors, including Richard Protovin and Will Hindle.

Mr. Jones was Music Director of the NFL Super Bowl pre and post-game shows for Best Productions from 1992 through 2002.

Jones received his MM degree in Composition from the Eastman School of Music. His major professors were Wayne Barlow and Samuel Adler. He is a member of ASCAP and president of Where's the Music? Inc., a fine arts production and publication corporation.
