Born: November 28, 1960
Former arranger for and trombonist with the Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey orchestras, he is the 1995 recipient of the prestigious Gil Evans Fellowship in jazz composition. Paul also serves as Director of Jazz Studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and has recently released a recording on the Azica label entitled "Blue Highways: featuring Jiggs Whigham, Claudio Roditi and the RIAS Big Band of Berlin.
