Robert J. Bardeen

Born: August 20, 1927

After one year in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II, Bob attended Ithaca College, where he studied orchestration with Walter Beeler and worked on projects for his graduate degree with Warren Benson. He earned three degrees while at Ithaca: BS Music Education (1950), BM Music Theory (1951), and MM Music Theory (1968).

Bob taught instrumental music in the public schools of New York State for 33 years, including two years at Sherwood Central School and the remaining 31 years in the Geneva City Schools. He took a well-deserved retirement in 1985 and now spends much of his time writing and arranging.
