This piece originally started as a short introduction and 16-measure melody for an educational video by the Jazz Ambassadors of the U.S. Army Field Band entitled “Inside The Big Band”. This moderately slow Basie-style chart for advancing groups contains nice melodic and harmonic movement, which encourages better ensemble playing.
